About Us
Established in 2003, the shared aim is to make the Medics on the Move the first point of call for professionals changing job, moving home and letting their property.
Medics on the Move was founded in response to a particular cry for help from people who just do not have time to find a home to rent or buy.
For those working long and often unsocial hours, the added stress can be too much. Finding a new place is almost a full time occupation and almost impossible to fit in at week ends and days.
As two busy professionals founders Carole Stubbs and Vickie Knighton understood the need to provide a very flexible, personal stress free service.
Both Carole and Vickie have many years experience working in both the property and customer service environments. With Medics on the Move they brought together the best aspects of their experience with a dedicated property search and lettings service.
Training and Support
Successful franchisees will be joining a business that is asbsolutely focused on delivering a first-class, personal service - clients will always remember how all the stress and tension has been taken out of a particularly difficult time in moving or letting their property, allowing them to focus on other properties.
The existing expertise lies in enabling the franchisees to hit the ground running, so when the time comes to launch, each will be fully-prepared, fully-equipped and ready to trade.
The training programme is very comprehensive and will provide all the training needed to get the business up and running, as well as providing an ongoing package of support.
All Franchisees must undergo an initial training programme that includes:
- Detailed analysis of the services that can be offered.
- Operational training
- Sales & Marketing
- Administration and Accounts
- Dealing with Suppliers and other third party agents
- Letting & Management Qualification
A comprehensive package of operations manuals and other useful materials is also provided
Financial Information
One of the key features of this opportunity is the low financial entry point and low overheads, allowing each business to build quickly. Naturally the speed at which the business grows will be dependent upon the aspirations and application of each franchise.
Start-Up Costs
Initial Franchise Fee = £19,995 (exc.VAT)

30 - 40% of this investement is expected to be available in cash with rest being funded through a combination of bank funding, if necessary Franchisees will also have to demonstrate access to some working capital to help through their first few month's trading as the business grows and develops.
Ongoing Fees
As fixed overheaqds are very low, most of the key costs will be associated with the development of the business - sales and marketing.
Medics on the Move will charge a management fee of 10% of gross revenue that will cover the range of ongoing support services that Medics on the Move have put together, including:
- Web site development and maintenance
- Ongoing training and development
- Business development meetings
- Field and Head Office Support
- National advertising marketing and exhibitions.
There will also be an advertising fee of 2% of gross turnover. This fee is used by franchisees to collectively expend on promoting the brand.
Potential Rewards
As with any new business it is absolutely imperative that Franchisees put in place a business plan that is realistic and achievable. There is in place a financial template to help create a business plan this template has been based on real experience and Medics on the Move will work with each new franchise to put in place a plan that can be achieved. The ability to generate profit is aided by the success generated by the franchise network, this shared interest interest means there is mutual need to ensure that every opportunity is exploited fully.
